The Graft Material
StemVie™ Bone Graft Substitute is a biphasic ceramic
composed of 60% Hydroxyapatite (HA) and 40% beta-Tricalcium Phosphate (β-TCP) and presents a global
interconnected porosity of 70% with:
- 2/3 macropores (300-600µm)
- 1/3 micropores (<10µm)
BioActive and Osteoconductive
Specific HA/TCP ratio and global porosity provides:
- Short term dissolution/precipitation process into micropores
- New interface recognized by the cells as the host bone
- Balance between resorption and bone substitution
- Macropores guide bony cells into the depths of the StemVie™ Graft.
